Polish Chip Preventing Tips?

Nails

Can we talk about something that is clearly critical for a moment? My nails. (I told you, earth shattering.) For some weird reason, I can totally grow out my nails...as long as polish stays on them. Without polish, I pick at them (because the uneven length of the white tips drives me nuts) and they get shorter and shorter. With polish? I ignore them. I don't pretend to grok the psychology, but, hey, whatever works. And work it does. I took this picture about a week and a half ago. They are even longer now! The only problem? Keeping polish on. It wears away at the tips and is worse on my most often used nails.

Any tricks for preventing the polish from wearing down at the edges? I get at best 2 days before they are chipped. Which means I am spending way too much time with chipped nail polish.

  2. Thanks for the tip! Strangely enough Butter is the brand of polish I'm currently using (love the low odor of their 3-free formulation) so I had been looking at these. : ) They seem to be well reviewed on Amazon, have you used them?
