I've Been Tagged!

I was tagged by Kathy over at Altered Events, one of my fellow FAE-ers to tell you all some random things about myself. (You can learn more about me by clicking the "About Me" tag on the left side of my blog. Just in case, you know, 7 things isn't enough. ; )

The Rules
1. Link to your tagger and list these rules on your blog.
2. Share 7 interesting/random facts about yourself on your blog.
3. Tag 7 people at the end of your post, leaving their names as well as links to their blog.
4. Leave a comment on each of their blogs to let them know they've been tagged.

All Together

The Facts (The Fashion Edition)
1. I have recently discovered a love of patent leather. This ambushed me but one purse and two pairs of shoes later, I think it's too late for help. (One pair pictured above.)
2. When I shop, I imagine what Stacey and Clinton from TLC's What Not to Wear would say.
3. I am incapable of properly ironing clothing. This is why I <3 the drycleaners. And when something simply MUST be ironed, I usually try to sweet talk the hubby into doing it.
4. I have been cleaning out the closet, one bit at a time, for a while now. So far I have three garbage bags full of clothes, shoes, and random other stuff that must go. Yesterday I was shocked and appalled to find out how many of my treasured older clothes were polyester. Yuck! (That made the throwing out much easier!)
5. I have gotten girlier and girlier as I've gotten older. I am closing in on my goal of actually being stylish. Someday.
6. I do not shop for nor try to influence what my hubby wears. It's his business, and besides, I have no desire to start a new job as personal shopper. (Besides which, he apparently finds my taste in men's clothes too effeminate for his taste.)
7. I have had "work/school clothes" and "the rest of the time clothes" for so long that the idea of having ONE wardrobe with clothes that can be worn both to work or on the weekend is really strange to me. I'm trying to get over this.

The Tagging
I'm not going to. : ) Feel free to play along if you are so inclined.

  1. I, too, have become girlier as I've gotten older, and it boggles my mind, because I almost... not quite, but almost... enjoy clothes shopping now.

  2. I enjoy shopping much more now than I did as a teenager. In part because I've gotten over my body issues. It is what it is and if the clothes don't look good--don't buy the clothes! No more tears in the dressing room for me! : )
