Despite my absence of book-y posts, I have indeed been treking into the library regularly and making some good progress. : ) I've even been taking pictures. Apparently, it's that last 10% that kills me. >_< Regardless, books! I read them! That stack at the top is from mid August. How Full is Your Bucket is a ridiculously quick read. It can get a bit eye-rolly but the basic message is simple--be kind.
The Center Cannot Hold was a fascinating glimpse into schizophrenia. I feel like I have so much more comprehension and compassion for those living with mental illnesses now. I'm sure it's only scratched the surface, but it was very enlightening. I'm nearly done with Be Your Own Mentor and have mixed feelings on it.
I am currently reading Punished By Rewards and I cannot express my love for this books enough. It makes me think! It has wry wordplay! It's based on huge amounts of data! It's accessible! AND it covers something hugely relevant to our daily life and society at large. Love, love, love.
This last set I just picked up today. I have been waiting on Whipping Girl since January. (This is why you do not take books off hold, even when they appear to have fallen into a giant black hole. : ) I'm expecting Red Shirts to be pretty popular so that 2 week timer is a ticking!
Whew! I really need to stay more on top of these posts. And get reading! Yikes! : )
