Castle Peeps

I'm not much for "designer" fabrics or collection various lines. In reading quilting blogs over the last year or so, I have started to get a sense of what the "in" collections are, only because so many of the quilting bloggers seem to have the "gotta get 'em all" mentality. And I can certainly understand why some people might prefer to pull quilts entirely from a single line--all the fabrics are already coordinated for you! It's just never really been my thing.

But it was on those same quilting blogs where I first saw the Castle Peeps line by Lizzy House. And for the first time in my quilting life, I found a collection where I not only liked all the fabrics, but could see them all being useful. Plus, it was castles. And there was a green colorway. But without any projects in mind, I set it aside.

Until tonight when I was idly browsing fabric. And came across half yard cuts at UberStitch on Black Friday sale. And then, well, it had to come home with me. As well as a yard of the main castle fabric from Fashionable Fabrics to complete the set.

Fabric!

Now the big question of what to make with it looms. But I figure I have plenty of time. The important thing was getting the fabric before it goes out of print, right? Right.

Those green and red prints down at the bottom though? I know exactly what to do with those. Holiday bunting! Hung over the mantles with care, it shall be amazing. : D
