The truth about our house is that it is messy. This won't come as a surprise to you if you remember the previous posts about dead ladybugs in the bathtub and laundry piled in the hall. But, for some reason, it does surprise me. You see, I have this wonderful mental image of the house that is a bit delusional optimistic. In my minds eye, the house is always clean, laundry is always put away, and there are no dishes stacked on the bookcase. And the bed? It's always made up, with clean, fresh sheets. It's never a wad of covers with bathrobes and coats thrown at the foot and the pillows a jumbled pile at the head. Not in this house.
