Photography

In October, I will taking a few days off (from work and etsy) to attend the Society of Women Engineers National Conference. I love the event because it is an opprotunity to network, hang out with other women, attend cool seminars, and (very importantly) scope out what other women consider "buisness casual" to be. (Best people watching EVER). Anyway, aside from being SUPER excited about the techincal/worky aspects of it, I nearly fell out of my chair when I read this as an optional tour:

Spend a truly enjoyable day with your camera and the city of Nashville photographing some of the most unique sites in the country. This tour is all about seeing things through the eye of the camera…but in a brand new way. We'll start with a beginning photography class at the First Center for Visual Arts, an elaborate art exhibition center of over 125,000 square feet and host of the finest international and national local art. Your guide will lead you through a discussion of camera use, setting the scene for a good photograph and how to execute that publication worthy picture.

Um, yes please! How fast can I sign up?! (Although for an extra $88 on top of conference fees and hotel fees and gas to get there, I have to inspect the budget first.)

But, hello photography CLASS! Is it bad that my first thought was "I wonder if I could pull them aside for questions about my etsy pictures?". ; )

Because as lovely as these new photos are, I assure you, they are not doing the cards justice.

I would also like to learn more about general type photo taking. While my etsy shop has taught me a lot about photo taking my photos of general life stuff--the kittens, my husband, and myself--tend to be dark, yellow, boring, etc. ^_^

Although, sometimes the sheer cute makes up for all of it. Like this little one:

Altogether now...AWWWWWWWW! Another new etsy addict is born! ^_^
