Little Love Notes

This little set of love notes is something new for me in a couple of senses. Probably the most obvious novelty is the fact that this is a set of six little cards instead of three. When surfing around etsy I noticed that the vast majority of small cards were sold in larger quantities. I suppose it may have to do with, as a buyer, feeling like you are getting a lot for your money? It cuts down on shipping costs and the need to re-order so it makes very practical sense too. I'm going to try listing several sets of this size to see which there is more interest in.

The second way that these are novel is that they are the first thing that I have listed in my shop that I would call "masculine"*. I had no idea how "girly" I was until I opened up shop and it has been a real challenge coming up with offerings for those who prefer more "masculine" offerings. This set features envelopes made from a paper that sports the hearts, diamonds, spades, and clubs found in a deck of playing cards. The playing card reference and the dark colors make these cards seem more "masculine". Naturally, that doesn't restrict their usage--after all, I adore this paper and I don't really play cards. (I certainly missed the boat on that whole poker craze).




*I put "masculine" in quotes because I really hate using gender stereotyping to define things. People have different tastes and enjoy different things. More men may prefer certain things and more women may prefer others, but that doesn't mean that women can't enjoy "masculine" things and men can't enjoy "girly" things. Unfortunately, I don't know of a better way to express what I mean.
