You may remember some time ago that I received a Wii with the goal of working out. We even had plans for a home gym.
And then I went on a business trip, fell off the wagon, and never got back on. Well since then I've made friends with lots of people who work out. And not just like "oh I totally go to the gym twice a week" people, but runners. Runners who do things like the Warrior Dash and Color Runs and 50K races. I mean, they talk about running for FOURTEEN HOURS.
But they've been a good influence because their example helped push me up on the bandwagon. We finally did get that "home gym" set up (see picture above!) and I have been working out 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week for....one whole week now!
It feels different from last time though. Last time it was something to slog through because I knew I should. Now I am doing it because I want to. I want to feel strong. I want to be fit. I want to be able to go quickly up a flight of stairs and not be left panting. Those 30 minutes seem to breeze by, but the workout is strenuous enough that I'm still feeling last night's upper body workout.
Here's to keeping it up!
