Cinnamon and Sugar Popcorn

Cinamon Popcorn

After making the caramel corn, I wanted to try some other popcorn varieties. I found this cinnamon and sugar popcorn over at One Ordinary Day and decided to give it a go.

Makes: 1 bag of popcorn

Ingredients
1 bag of natural (unbuttered popcorn)
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Directions
PREHEAT oven to 300F

POP popcorn
PLACE in medium bowl

CUT butter in small pieces
PLACE butter, sugar, and cinnamon in a microwave safe bowl
MICROWAVE until the butter is melted
MIX in vanilla

POUR butter mixture over popcorn
STIR until well mixed

SPREAD popcorn onto a large cookie sheet
BAKE for 10 minutes

LET COOL

Enjoy!

My Thoughts
1. The popcorn was great! Addictively sweet and delicious. However, the large amount of butter means that the popcorn will quickly go soft and soggy if not eaten. This is not something you really want to make in advance or try to save.

2. It comes together very quickly though, so it's easy to make on the spot. : )
