Day 220/365--Re-appropriate

My daily contribution to my year long "Around the House" photo project. 365 photos. Blogged here.

220-265--Reappropriate

In a stunning example of yin and yang, I love having my own space in my craft room. I love being able to spread out, make a mess, and leave it there until I can continue on. I love being able to have bright, inspiring things all around me. And yet, I miss having my hubby close enough to talk to. To get opinions from and show my small victories too. So, tonight, when I was looking to baste my first quilt in this house one potential space stood out--the stage! Flat, un-carpeted and close by the hubby. Turns out the quilt I was bssting was large enough as to be on the very edge of what was possible for that space. But worked and I was able to spend some time cozily ensconced in the Rec Room with my loves. (Including the poor cats who kept trying to eat both the tape(Jack) and the safety pins (Abby))

  1. I often times find myself putting together sewing project in the middle of the living room so I can be next to my hubby and kids. The only danger..stray pins. I try to keep them in check, but my 4 year old found a pin on the carpet the other day. OOPS!

  2. Aly--Oh no! My hubby is king of finding lost pins. I *try* to keep them contained in the craft room, but they will sneak out when I'm not looking. ; )

What an awesome solution! I love it when things just fall into place like they should.
