I went for a stroll around the house tonight, camera in hand. The bugs chased me back inside after about 20 min, but that brief time was wonderful. Peaceful, calming, and present. I noticed several new things about the house, little details I'd never really seen before. The missing kickplate on the deck steps. The brick edging around a tree out front. The pretty pink roses blooming on the side of the house. One of the best things about this challenge is the reminder to pay attention to these small details. Giving myself permission to prioritize taking a few minutes to truly notice and appreciate how truly fortunate we are to live in this amazing space.
