Cheese Dip

Snack

Since we made Soft Pretzels, I was on the hunt for a cheese dip to go with. This one is delicious--cheesy and mustardy and perfect for pretzels.

I adapted this recipe from this one, which I found on All Recipes.

Makes: About 15 tbsp

Ingredients
2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/4 tsp ground white pepper
1/2 cup sour cream
1 tbsp spicy brown mustard

Directions
PLACE all ingredients in a medium saucepan over medium high heat
COOK and STIR until well blended and warm

ENJOY!

My Thoughts
1. This is an easy dip that actually tastes like cheese! Not processed cheese-like food.

2. The mustard makes these brilliant with pretzels, but if you were going to serve it with anything else you would probably want to skip it or at least tone it down. There is a very strong mustard flavor to the dip.

3. I was successfully able to freeze and reheat this dip making it easy to prepare in advance of parties or simply to partition out into snack sized servings.
