Homemade Guacamole

Guacamole

This is the guacamole that I grew up on. My mom says she got it from a coworker and friend who was raised in Mexico. I just know that it is darn tasty and easy.

Ingredients
Avocados
Mayonnaise
Horseradish sauce
Minced garlic

Directions
PEEL and PIT avocados
MASH avocados
ADD 2 tbsp mayonnaise, 1 tbsp horseradish sauce, and 1/4 tsp minced garlic per avocado
BLEND together

Enjoy!

My Thoughts
1. The secret to really good guacamole is really good avocados. You will want to look for avocados that are a rich black color and give when you squeeze them. You do not want them to be completely mushy but better too mushy than rock hard.

2. I never actually measure this all out, so these are my estimates, feel free to tweak to taste.

3. A dash of lemon juice will prevent the guacamole from browning. We generally don't bother because if stored in tupperware, it tends not to brown (much) anyway. But if you are making this ahead of time, definitely do so.

4. If you prefer a smoother consistency, you can blend in a food processor.
